Your choice
Optional Google Analytics helps Paper Sunrise understand which pages and songs people explore. Choose No thanks to listen without it. You can change your choice using Privacy choices in the footer.
We load Google Analytics only after you allow it. Withdrawing consent stops future measurement and removes this site's analytics cookies. It does not erase information already received by Google.
What is measured
With permission, we measure page visits, song starts, resumes, listening time and completions, sharing actions, and clicks to Spotify or release pages. We also use limited referral labels and technical information such as browser, device and approximate location. Google receives network information when your browser contacts its service.
A Spotify click does not tell us that you listened, saved a song or followed the artist. We do not connect website reports to your Spotify account.
Analytics uses browser identifiers and is not anonymous. We disable Google signals and advertising personalisation. Our events exclude arbitrary address-bar query values and personal messages.
Cookies
The privacy-choice cookie lasts 180 days. Optional analytics cookies use the ps prefix and are configured to expire after 90 days; later visits do not extend that expiry. Your browser may remove them sooner. Cookie expiry is separate from Google's retention of information it has already received.
Read Google's privacy policy for its processing of this information.
The song worlds
Each world opens in a setting chosen for its song. The artwork does not use your location or device clock, or request a local weather forecast.
Saved bird data
Earlier versions of the site could save bird discoveries and choices in this browser. The current worlds unfold on their own, without collecting birds or earning a reveal. You can clear those older records here or through your browser settings. They are not connected to your Spotify account.
Listening and sharing
Audio and artwork are served with this site. Playing a full song here does not connect to Spotify.
Spotify and release-page links take you to another service. Its privacy rules apply there. Following, saving and signing in happen there, with your permission.
The share button opens your device's share menu or copies the song-page address. This site does not ask for a name, email address or personal message.
Hosting
Cloudflare hosts this site and may process technical request logs to deliver and protect it.
